What is Elementor Pro?
Elementor Pro is a visual page builder for WordPress. It allows you to easily create feature-rich web pages and websites using a range of simple drag and drop tools, directly inside your browser.
If you’re worried about the continuity of design, you can save your design elements as templates (both blocks and full-page designs) directly inside Elementor and then use those in any of your pages, posts or other content layouts you build.
Currently, there are over 7 million users using Elementor (both free and Pro), making it one of the fastest-growing WordPress page builders out there. It has fast become a standard for building amazing looking WordPress website designs for beginners and pros alike.
While Elementor Free provides 30+ basic widgets (like images, text blocks, buttons, etc.), Elementor Pro expands on the free version with an additional 50+, giving you all the tools you need to build your WordPress websites.
If you need even more features, there’s a growing community of amazing 3rd party add-ons that provide an almost endless range of well-designed and well-implemented widgets.
Is Elementor Easy to Use?
Absolutely! If you can use a mouse or trackpad, there really is no horribly steep learning curve. It’s fully drag-and-drop, so you add in the widget you want, edit the settings in the left panel and boom!
If you’re not so great at design or have a lack of inspiration, Elementor has some amazing templates and pre-designed blocks (parts of your web page: i.e. headers, footers, testimonials, contact forms, etc.) ready to drop into your page.
You can even create and save your own templates to reuse anywhere on your website. Better still, you can also export those templates and load them into any website using Elementor to speed up your own design process.
Use the templates as inspiration or as a cookie-cutter method of building your pages in double-quick time. All the tools and options you should need are a click or 2 away.

Reasons To Upgrade To Elementor Pro
While the basic version of Elementor is completely free, here are some reasons to consider upgrading to the full Pro version.
Theme Builder
Building a WordPress website using a traditional theme is the way many people build a website, if you want to have more control over every aspect of the design, style, layout and more; Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder provides all the necessary tools you’ll need to get a lot more creative.
You can use the Theme Builder to design any page template throughout your entire website. From the headers and footers to the archive pages, the single post pages, WooCommerce page all the way to your 404 page.
All this can be achieved using the intuitive visual page builder and Elementor’s Theme Builder conditional logic to ensure that your theme pages are being used exactly where they are needed.
We’ve already created a full tutorial on how to use Elementor Pro without a theme; so you don’t need to waste a load of time trying to figure out how it’s all done. We’ve gone ahead and done the hard work for you so you don’t need to.
Dynamic Content / Dynamic Web Design
If there’s one thing I love about building more advanced websites with WordPress is the ability to easily use tools like Advanced Custom Fields Pro or Toolset to add that icing on top of the cake with dynamic content.
If you want to build a property listing website or a car sales website, you can build it yourself using the power of dynamic content and Elementor Pro.
Create your own custom post types, taxonomies and much more and then leverage your dynamic content directly inside many of Elementor Pro’s widgets.
If you want to see how to build your own dynamic website with Elementor Pro and ACF Pro, we’ve got you covered. Take a look at our full guide to building your first custom, dynamic website listings, page templates and more.
Support for many online services
If you build landing pages or want to link directly to your MailChimp or Active Campaign mailing lists (to name just 2), you can do that directly with full API support built into Elementor Pro.
Perfect for landing pages, sales pages and much more. No need to add additional plugins to achieve the desired results. It’s all built-in for you.
Pop-Up Builder
If you use a pop-up on your websites, you can have full control over design, triggers and implementation through Elementor Pro itself. No need for additional 3rd party plug-ins to get the desired results. Just design, build and trigger in one place.
That’s just a handful of great reasons to consider upgrading to Pro, but this is just scratching the surface of what you can do with the added power that pro brings to the table.
